Network Marketing businesses and direct sales businesses will take time to grow. The good news is they will grow. I have been in business for three years and each year my business has grown a little bit at a time. Look at the small things and see them as successes. You won't be a sensation overnight, but if you work really hard at it you will eventually get there in your business. Just like it takes time for children to grow and for things to happen, this is no different. Just set your goals, make plans, do research, and keep on going and eventually you will be successful! This post concludes my first tips to success section of this blog. I will continue to add tips but they won't be part of the first tips section.
We all are sometimes guilty of forgetting to plan and set goals for ourselves. I know myself personally that I can slack off from time to time and a lot of the times I set goals and then don't plan out how to reach them or I set a plan but then deviate from it and don't follow it. Sometimes things get in the way in life. I honestly don't have much time around my full time job for my business, so I definitely sometimes am bad about working the business because I don't always want to be working, but when I don't do what I need to I see the negative impact it makes. Bottom line it's proven that the more goals you set and the more planning you do to reach your goals, the more results you're going to get and the more likely it is that you will be successful. My home business has a lot of tools for us to use to plan and set goals for ourselves. There is also A LOT of information out there for people to learn how to organize themselves, plan, and set goals. Set aside a time each week to plan out your week and set your schedule for the week and then stick to it. When you stick to your plans then you are more likely to reach your goals! Good luck in your planning, goal setting, and success!
I'm sure at one time or another we are all guilty of making excuses. I know I certainly have found myself doing this from time to time. Sometimes life's circumstances make it hard to keep yourself from making excuses and sometimes you just have a bad day so excuses come up. In Network Marketing it is important that you realize that if you keep making excuses for why something isn't working or why you aren't successful then you won't be able to change things and turn your business around. There are many varying sayings along these lines in my current direct sales business from successful representatives. Basically "What are you waiting for?" How are things ever going to change unless you change them. The only way to turn your business around is to figure out what excuses your making and find a way to fix it. You can't become successful unless you work it as many representatives in my business say. I've always said you get out of my business what you put into it. When I put more into it I see the success and potential, but when I slack off, I see those results too. Don't make excuses for why something doesn't work, instead take excuses and turn them around and use them to
Do you read? Do you watch educational videos? Are you continuing your education on your own? Listen to motivational CDs or Audio Tracks? Education is vital to your success in Network Marketing. Rather it's reading books, watching YouTube videos, being a part of conference calls, or being a part of online Webinars you need to find a way or multiple ways to educate yourself in Network Marketing. My direct sales business offers FREE training through our back office website online and it's awesome! I have learned SO much from following others in my direct sales business. I am starting to branch out now and learn more from people that are successful in Network Marketing in general. My Recommendation blog page is where I am posting some recommendations for you to read/follow. It is very important for you to read, watch, listen, and take part in online trainings/webinars. Do something daily if at all possible! In addition to educating yourself, it is important that you implement what you have learned, even if you have to take baby steps to implement it. I work a full-time job, so I do sometimes find it difficult to dedicate time to my home business, but I take little baby steps to implement new things and MAKE the time to educate myself as well as do what I can to work my business. It's grown a little each year and I'm looking forward to seeing it SOAR!!
Once you find things that work for your business be consistent in what you do. If it works it will continue to work. Also when trying something new, be consistent with it and keep working at it because eventually it will lead to success. Give something a good go before you decide it needs adjusting. For example, with a blog you won't be successful right off the bat, but if you keep posting and keep getting your stuff out there eventually your audience will grow. You will get lots of "no" before you get a "yes". That's just the nature of our business in sales, network marketing, direct sales, etc. So keep at it and eventually it will pay off. Consistency is key.
Let's be honest here, we don't always feel confident in ourselves. The key to success in network marketing, however, is to be confident and put out that aura of confidence. People like people that are confident in themselves and in what they have to offer. You have to come across as knowledgeable and as an expert in order for people (potential customers and recruits) to see you that way. It's like pretty much anything in life. If you are confident you will succeed then you will eventually succeed. You cannot go into job interviews or out on dates without some sense of confidence, so don't go out trying to network and network market without confidence. When you lack confidence, you just put yourself in a tough spot. Do what you have to in order to keep that confidence. Sometimes it has to do with your inner self and sometimes it has to do with your outer self, but you need to do whatever you need to do in order to maintain your confidence in yourself. Something that can help you is to use whatever you are offering yourself. Personal testimonies work well to gain potential customers and potential recruits or potential leads for your business. Now go out there and offer your product and/or service to everyone you come across.
