This book was a great read. The main takeaway from this book is that we all do Network Marketing every day. Every day we are recommending things to the people we know. This book gives you an idea of real life stories that you can use to bridge to your network marketing opportunity. The opportunity to join the business or the opportunity to gain a new customer. I liked the stories included and it just gave you another way to think about prospecting and how it can be different from just selling to people. Another takeaway from the book was that there really is no perfect time to prospect someone. You just have to keep trying with new people and sometimes the same people (as long as you aren't nagging them or begging for them to buy/join) and if it is the right time for that person then they will join you or buy from you. I have to say I believe this to be true from my experience with my business. I have just recently after three years received new customers that were originally in my warm market but at the time it was not right for them to try the products I offer. I also just recently got a recruit to join me in my business who I had met earlier in the year, but she contacted me back to join me because the time was right now and it wasn't then. It just goes to show how getting your name out there may not immediately have a result, but later on someone that has your name and decides to either join you or buy from you will come to you instead of someone else in your company. The third takeaway goes along with this and that is that you must let everyone know that you have the service you have and have joined the company you've joined because otherwise when they want something they will find someone else in the company to either join or buy from.
